The library, located opposite the Town Hall, was designed as a compact, concrete block, seven metres high, resting on its rear wall; it overlooks the front garden and the Town Hall building. The self-supporting facade is conceived as a stacking of boxes that block out the sun, contain books, and frame views. The compact volume is composed of modules of concrete. This material is predominant throughout, from the building structure to the furniture. The interior space is divided into two levels by an L-shaped wooden box that holds up the staircase and conceals the services.
