This project is situated along the upper Garonne River on a plateau overlooking the city center. The arrival of a private developer in these underprivileged areas shows the evolution of the area during the past decade. In terms of urbanity, this project creates density for the metropolitan center while serving as an anchor for the core of the city’s Right Bank. On a swath of land 17 metres wide, 48 housing units are established on five separate levels. Two levels are placed one on top of the other to generate within the facade a variety of openings and loggias that create a sense of movement. The building’s dark skin contrasts with the while strips created by sliding aluminium shutters, windows, and recessed loggias.
