The hotel has been designed by Manuel Aires Mateus, whose clean, modern interiors are refreshing trimmings to the building’s ancient walls; worn, limestone stairs lead to the guestrooms, where coarse linens, pale woods and furnishings by designer Antonio Citterio come together in a neutral palette boosted by a graceful duck egg blue. The house now open its doors and welcomes their guests and visitors through a huge portal into a high ceiled entrance hall. A huge moon-shaped lamp, lounge sofas and an antique painting give it a special ambiance. The connected dining room gives place to a six meter long offering seat for 20 people.
